Portfolio Review Service
An investment portfolio that hasn't been reviewed in years is rarely the one you'd build today. Our review service gives you an honest and trusted perspective on what you hold and why.
Why Choose Us
An honest second opinion
Whether your portfolio was built with a previous adviser, picked up over time or assembled DIY, we'll check it against your current goals, risk profile and tax position — and tell you straight if it still works.
- Risk alignment against your current attitude and capacity
- Total cost breakdown — funds, platform and advice charges
- Diversification and concentration analysis
- Tax wrapper efficiency across ISAs, pensions and general accounts
- Clear recommendation: keep, tweak or move — with reasons either way
The value of investments and any income from them can fall as well as rise and you may not get back the original amount invested.
Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance and should not be relied upon.

FAQs
Common questions
What's actually checked in a portfolio review?+
Risk alignment to your stated profile, total cost (fund OCFs + platform + adviser), diversification across asset classes and geographies, tax wrapper efficiency, and performance versus appropriate benchmarks — not against last year's hot fund.
How often should a portfolio be reviewed?+
At least annually for most clients. Big life events (retirement, inheritance, business sale, divorce) and major market moves are also good triggers for an interim review.
Do I have to move my investments?+
No. Many reviews end with small adjustments inside the existing platform, or simply confirmation that the current setup is fine. We only recommend a move where the case is clear and the cost of transferring is justified.
What does a review cost?+
Initial reviews for new clients are at our cost. Any ongoing advice charge is disclosed in writing before you commit, and is typically a percentage of assets advised on.
Is this independent advice?+
We are FCA-regulated Appointed Representatives of The Openwork Partnership, advising on products from a broad panel of providers. We are not described as 'independent' in the FCA-defined sense, and we make this clear in every recommendation.
