Why Choose Us
The policy you'll only really value once you need it
PMI is one of the few financial products where the wrong choice only becomes obvious mid-claim. We can refer you to a specialist who can compare hospital lists, outpatient limits and exclusions in detail so there are no surprises at the consultant's door.
- Side-by-side comparison of hospital lists, outpatient and mental health cover
- Moratorium vs full medical underwriting explained in plain English
- Premium-shaping levers (excess, NHS wait option, restricted lists) modelled openly
- Individual, couple and family policies structured for value
- Annual review at renewal — most policies can be improved or repriced

FAQs
Common questions
What does private medical insurance actually cover?+
Core cover typically includes in-patient and day-patient treatment for acute conditions, with optional add-ons for outpatient diagnostics, mental health, therapies and dental/optical. Chronic conditions, pregnancy and pre-existing conditions are usually excluded or limited.
How does it interact with the NHS?+
PMI is a complement to the NHS, not a replacement. It accelerates diagnosis and elective treatment and offers choice of consultant and hospital. Emergency care still goes through the NHS.
What is a moratorium vs full medical underwriting?+
Moratorium excludes any condition you've had symptoms or treatment for in the past few years until you've been symptom-free for an unbroken period. Full medical underwriting requires upfront disclosure but gives certainty about what's covered from day one.
How can I lower the premium?+
Choosing a larger excess, dropping outpatient cover, accepting a more restricted hospital list or adding a 6-week NHS option can each reduce premium materially. A specialist can model the trade-offs explicitly.
Can I cover my family on the same policy?+
Yes — adding partners and children is usually cheaper than separate policies and most insurers offer simplified underwriting for dependent children.
