Rhys Mayhew — Mortgage Adviser in Bedford

For Rhys Mayhew, an interest in property eventually became a career in helping other people achieve their goals. Originally from Ampthill and now living in Bedford, Rhys studied Business Economics at the University of Lincoln. After graduating, he researched property markets across the UK and bought his first investment property. Experiencing the mortgage process for himself also made him want to help others navigate it with less stress and uncertainty.

Today, as a mortgage and protection adviser, he helps first-time buyers, home movers, people looking to remortgage and property investors, as well as people who aren’t sure getting a mortgage is even possible. Rhys knows that every client’s circumstances are different. He takes time to understand their goals and circumstances, finds an option that fits their needs and stays involved throughout the mortgage process, so clients know what is happening and what comes next.

Outside work, Rhys enjoys football and travelling. He captained Ampthill Town’s youth team as a youngster and is still a keen Luton Town supporter. His travels have included around six months in Rio de Janeiro across two trips, where he also spent time volunteering at a school teaching English.
